Our Action
Bridging Healthcare Access for All
The majority of the population in India resides in rural areas where access to healthcare is a challenge.
It is even more challenging for women to access basic amenities like health, education, and public services. Irada Foundation is making an impact by providing vital medical facilities through mobile clinics. These clinics are equipped with essential medical equipment and have medical staff that includes doctors, nurses, and social workers addressing various medical, dental, and ophthalmic care needs. They treat over 200 patients daily at zero cost.Â

Menstrual Hygiene Matters
Women in rural India often compromise and sometimes neglect their needs due to limited decision-making powers and financial barriers. This is why only about 42% of women in rural India have access to sanitary pads. Â
The majority of these women are deprived of basic menstrual hygiene which can cause infection and other serious issues like cervical cancer. This is even more devastating as cervical cancer is rising in India at an alarming rate. The Irada Foundation supports women's health by educating them on physical well-being, hygiene, and menstrual health while distributing sanitary pads monthly to those facing financial hardships ensuring both knowledge and access to essential care. This remarkable initiative has changed lives and is continuing to do so. Â
Education is More than Just Knowledge
Women who come from underprivileged backgrounds often fall victim to prejudicial treatment when they are younger. Remarks like, âWhat is the use of investing in a girlâs education when cooking is all she should do?â Families with such a mindset prioritize sending their sons to school. This creates inequality in society. Â
Whatâs more shocking is that, according to a study, 74.8% of rural women in India are agricultural workers but only 9.3% own land. Â
This is why the Irada Foundation has taken the initiative to empower and educate girls, aiming to break this cycle of inequality and promote gender equality. Through its program, the foundation provides not only educational resources but mentorships and vocational training helping them build a future where they are no longer limited to societal expectations.
